Product Details

HBCGA is a Hydraulically Bound Coarse Graded Aggregate, an open‑graded, cement‑bound sub‑base designed for permeable paving systems, combining structural strength with high permeability to support SuDS compliance while maintaining stability beneath trafficked surfaces.

HBCGA is produced by blending coarse graded aggregate with cement, resulting in a robust, bound material that retains an open structure for effective water infiltration. The aggregate is specifically formulated to be laid immediately upon delivery due to its limited working time, ensuring optimal compaction and performance.

The open‑graded nature of HBCGA allows rainwater to filter through the pavement and aggregate, reducing surface runoff and supporting sustainable drainage solutions.

Permeable Bound Aggregates are commonly used as a sub‑base layer beneath permeable block paving, car parks, and housing developments where regulatory requirements demand effective water management. Produced to BS 7533‑13:2009 standards, HBCGA provides a compliant, reliable, and sustainable solution for permeable pavement construction.
