Product Details

Produced from quality quarried rock, Type 2 Primary contains a mixture of particles ranging from 0/32mm. Compared to Type 1, it has a wider grading envelope and a higher fine content, resulting in less interlock and reduced load-bearing capability. This makes it particularly suitable for use as a general backfill or as a base layer for Type 1.

Type 2 Primary is not intended for use as the top layer in road make-up, but it provides a stable and reliable foundation for further construction. Produced to meet SHW 804 / CC 201 and BS EN 13285 standards, this aggregate offers a compliant and practical solution for a variety of groundwork and fill requirements.
